Lesson Notes:
  1. Keep left and stay in your lane.
  2. Turning - Aim to stop (20km), check and if safe keep moving.
  3. Hand Position - Don't drop your hands, when slowing down to stop.
  4. Right Turns - Keep on your side of the road. Don't cut corners.
  5. Green Light - Be ready to move, check while waiting for the light to change.
  6. Turn the indicator off after turning.
  7. Roundabouts - Be slow enough to giveway, check while slowing down and know what is behind you.
  8. Narrow Roads - Indicate and check your blindspot before overtake parked cars.
  9. Flush Median - Move in and stop, if unsafe. Wait for a safe space and merge out.
  10. Dual Lane Roundabouts - Stay in your lane, angle the car with the road.
  11. Ped X - Check both sides and check the center mirror.
  12. Stop Signs - Stop - Check and then move.
  13. Look outward for hazards.
  14. Left Turns - Don't get too close to the curb.
  15. Turning Bays - Check your blindspot before moving in.
  16. Wet Roads - Double your stopping and following distance.
  17. Avoid Bottlenecks on narrow roads.
  18. Traffic Lights - Don't stop over the white lines, leave space for people to cross the road.

Points to Remember:
  1. Moving out - Nothing sudden, merge into traffic.
  2. Merging Lanes - Nothing sudden, Indicate and check blindspot.
  3. Left Turns - Angle the car with the road,. Aim to stop and be able to see both sides before turning.
  4. Watch your speed  when going down hill and don't rush.
  5. Roll around corners, cover your brake and use the cars momentum to your advantage.
  6. Don't move over the center line if there are oncoming vehicles. On Narrow roads, indicate to pass parking cars.
  7. When pulling on the road side, you must indicate and check your blindspot before moving left.
  8. Turning - Check before turning and you must be able to see at least 100 meters on each side.
  9. Before entering a turning bay check your blindspot.
  10. Steering - Move your hands and make big turn when needed. Don't twist your hands.
  11. Keep a safe following distance when behind slow moving trucks.
  12. Activity search for hazards - cars, people and animals 100 meters around you.
  13. While waiting to turn - Check both sides.

Points To Remember:
  1. Take your take check and then move - Don't rush / panic to move.
  2. Searching - move your chin, turn your head.
  3. Cover your brake - push with your toes not the whole foot.
  4. Steering - Move your hands and turn the wheel back.
  5. Right Turns - Aim to stop before and roll up. Don't block the intersection.
  6. Wide Roads - Keep reasonably to the left.
  7. Left Turns - Angle the car with the road and keep left.
  8. Always know what is behind and next to you before braking.
  9. Stop Signs - Must stop - pause - check and then move. (All 4 wheels must stop moving)
  10. Check all side streets - both sides.
  11. Right Turns - Find the center before turning and know on your side.
  12. Turning - Must see and know its safe to move (100meters).
  13. Moving around a parked trucks - Stay back and you the space around you. (Merge out / in).
  14. Keep a safe following distance - specially when move through a railway crossing. (Have enough room on the other side of the tracks)
  15. Don't lean forward to see while the car is still moving forward.
  16. Use the sun visor when needed, but leave it down for the whole as you will be driving in circles.
  17. Blind / Sharp Corners - Keep left and be slow before.
  18. Railway Crossing - Check both sides before driving through.
  19. Orange light - Aim to stop. Traffic lights will always change, be ready before.
  20. Merging / Entering Turning Bays - Nothing sudden. Merge into the other lane. Don't brake for no reason. Keep indicating till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
  21. Speed Bumps - Check your center mirror before braking.
  22. Carpark - Don't look down to change gears, while the car is still moving. Stop before changing gears.
  23. Roundabout - Angle the car with the island and look for cover vehicles.
  24. Right Turn - Wide Road  - Check right side/ blindspot before moving right
  25. Pulling over to stop next to the curb - Indicate and check blindspot before moving left and slowing down.
  26. Parallel Parking - Indicate left before stopping . Recheck the right side before moving back.
  27. U-Turn - Check your center mirror and right blindspot.
  28. 3 Point Turn - Indicate right on 1st and 3rd turn. Check both sides - Look at the road.
  29. Know what gear you are in before moving.
  30. While waiting to turn - Check both sides.
  31. Narrow Roads - Avoid bottlenecks, look ahead and adjust your speed and position.

  1. Too Fast To Be Able To Giveway at Giveway Signs - Know who has the right of way before getting to the intersection and be able to see at least 100 meters on each side. Always aim to slow down (20km) before turning, If safe keep moving. 

Critical Errors:

  5. Wet Roads - Keep safe stopping and following distance.

  2. Recheck everything - Know what is behind and next to you all the time.

  1. Avoid bottlenecks - look ahead and just slow down and give way to oncoming vehicles.
  2. Turn the steering wheel back, don't just let go of it.
