Immediate Fail:
  1. Stop Sign - Failing to fully stop, before moving
  2. Road Works Posted 30km Sign - Speed at 40km before moving past the work ends sign.

Critical Errors:
  1. Merging - Must indicate before merging.
  2. Right Turn - Stay on your side of the road (Don't move over center / cut corners)

Needs Improvement:
  1. Steering - Erratic
  2. Hand Position - Use both hands when moving.
  3. Keep reasonably to the left.
  4. Parallel Parking - Use the space behind you.

Key Points:
  1. Dual Lanes - Stay in your lane
  2. Lane Changing - Indicate till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
  3. Curved Roads / Blind Corners - Be slow before and keep left. Drive to the road conditions.
  4. Turning - Be slow before and roll around. Don't brake hard.
  5. Downhill - Watch your speed.
  6. Stop sign - You must fully stop/pause before moving. All 4 wheels must stop moving.
  7. Left Turn - Keep left and check your blindspot.
  8. Flush Median - Use them when needed.
  9. Right Turns - Stay back, move up slowly when safe.
  10. Don't your hands when slowing down.
  11. Right Turns at Traffic Lights - Don't rush to turn.
  12. Onramps - Use all of it. Speed up and then enter the motorway.

Key Points:
  1. Left Turn - Keep left and check your blindspot.
  2. Parallel Parking - Take your time, Indicate left and recheck the right side.
  3. Curved Roads - Keep left.
  4. 3 Point Turn - Look back, not just the camera.
  5. Cross Roads - Check both sides.
  6. U Turn - Indicate right before turning.
  7. Lane Changing and Merging - Nothing sudden, Check before and avoid having vehicles next to you. Keep indicating till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
  8. Don't enter the cycle / bus lane too early when turning left.
  9. When turning right, wait for the oncoming vehicle to turn right before moving forward.
  10. Gap Selection - Be Ready before.
  11. Stop Sign - You must fully stop/pause before moving. All 4 wheels must stop moving.

Key Points:
  1. Carpark - Go slow and use the space around you.
  2. When turning - Nothing sudden, brake softly.
  3. Keep reasonable left and avoid bottlenecks ( oncoming vehicles )
  4. Hand Position - Don't twist your hands, move them around.
  5. U Turn - Indicate before turning.
  6. Narrow Roads - Be slow and indicated to pass parked cars.
  7. Left Turn - Angle the car with the roads and check the cycle / bus lanes.
  8. No sudden braking - aim to stop before and roll up.
  9. Flush Median - Be comfortable using them. (merging in and out of them) Don't rush and use the space around you.
  10. Keep a safe stopping distance when waiting in a queue.
  11. Double your following distance if the roads are wet.
  12. Roundabouts - Give way to cars on your right that are already in the roundabout.
  13. Road Islands - Avoid getting to close too them.
  14. Dual Lane Roundabout - Stay in your lane.
  15. Curved Roads  / Blind Corners - Keep left and drive to the road conditions.
  16. Lane Changing - Indicate till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.

  • Gap Selection - Must see atleast 100meters on each side before moving out.
  • Keep a safe following and stopping distance.

  3. Stop at stop signs.
  4. Left Turns  Dual Lanes - Stay in your lane.

  17. Roundabout - Must give way to cars in the roundabout.

Lesson Notes:
  1. Left Turn - Angle the car and keep left.
  2. Be slow before turning.
  3. Center the center mirror before braking.
  4. Indicate for +3 seconds before turning.
  5. Hand Position - Turn the wheel back, don't just let go.
  6. Hazard ID - Cars, People and Animals.
  7. Blind Corners - Be slow before turning and keep left.
  8. Dual Lanes Left Turn - You can turn left into the left lane if it is clear, you don't have to wait for both lanes to be clear before turning.
  9. Merging - Nothing sudden and don't slow down for no reason.
  10. Don't rush - Look ahead and outward. Drive at a speed that you can react to the road condition.
  11. U Turn - Indicate right and check your right blindspot.
  12. Flush median - Be comfortable using them.
  13. What your speed, keep your heel on the ground and push with your toe.

  1. Don't roll in neutral or ride the clutch or go into first too early.
  2. Wet / Fog - Double your following distance (+4seconds)
  3. Dual lanes - Be prepared to change lanes. Know what is behind and next to you.
  4. Don't Block Intersections - (Ped X, Traffic Lights, Keep Clear Zones, Entrance to carparks or cars waiting to pull out)  
  5. When waiting in a queue, stay back 
  6. Motorways onramps - Speed up on the onramp and then enter the motorway.
  7. Indicate, check center mirror and shoulder check in one motion.
  8. Dual lane Roundabout - Know whats next to you (Check blindspot).
  9. Roundabouts - Giveway to vehicles already in the roundabout on your right.
  10. 3 Point Turn - Indicate right on your 3rd turn.
  11. Parallel Parking - Go Slow and recheck the right side.
  12. Stop Sign - Must fully stop before moving. Use 1st gear.
