Key Points to remember from a refresher driving lesson

Keep left
More searching - check both side at every intersection.
Red light don't be too close to vehicles in front. stay back so you can see the ground between us and them.
Following Distance - Aim for 4 seconds always (Wet roads / Fog)
Moving left into cyclist/turning bay - check your left blind spot
Look ahead for hazards - 12+ seconds off the road and behind
You can move over the white/yellow line "if safe" to avoid parked vehicles or rubbish on narrow roads.
Ped X - check both sides, look at the black and white posts on each side.
Narrow Roads - don't be to close to parked cars, but beware of oncoming vehicles .
Right Turn - Find the center of the other road before you turn, don't cut corners and keep reasonable to the left.
Hand Position - Don't twist yours hands or let of with both hands
Roundabout - indicate out if you are going straight. (left)

Key Points:

Hand Postion
Shoulder Check - if you are moving more then .5 meters left or right
Gap Selection - You don't have to stop at every intersection. STOP at Stop Signs. At Giveways as you approach if you can see 100meters on each side (3x lamps posts) aim for under 20km. If safe keep moving. if you cant see or there is a vehicle approaching stop and wait. Be ready to move before the vehicle passes.
Keep Left but not to close to parked cars. (Reasonable)
Orange Light is a RED LIGHT. - STOP
Parallel Parking - Recheck the right side, you have 2minutes dont rush, let the car roll back.
U-Turn - You will need to recheck you right blind spot and keep indicating right.
