  1. Steering / Hand Position - Move your hands and keep your hands on the wheel. Make big turns when needed. Don't twist your hands. Don't drop your hands when slowing down.
  2. 3 Point Turn - You must indicate right and check your right blindspot.
  3. U- Turn - Keep left and recheck your right blindspot. Don't get too close to the parked cars.
  4. Parking On Roadside - You must indicate left and check your left blindspot, before braking. No more then 30cm from the curb.

  1. Lane Changing and Merging - Nothing sudden and know it's safe before indicating. Indicate till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
  2. Parallel Parking - Recheck the right side, take your time and move. You have 2 minutes and you can go back and forth 4 times. Use the space behind you. Indicate and check before stopping. You must be less than 30cm from the curb.
  3. Left Turn - Angel the car and check the cycle lane before turning, the left blindspot. Keep left.

Points To Focus On:

  1. Don't twist your hands, keep both hands on the wheel while moving.
  2. Left turns angle the car with the road.
  3. On narrow roads indicate to pass parked cars. 
  4. When pulling over and stopping make sure you indicate and check before braking. Don't block driveways or intersections. 
  5. When doing a three-point turn indicate and check your right blindspot on the third turn.
  6. When turning right check both sides and be ready before the cars pass.
  7. When entering the turning bay all all four wheels must be in the bay if there is room.
  8. When turning left, always recheck the cycle lane or bus lane before entering. Under 50meters.
  9. At stop signs you must stop, pause, check and then move.
  10. When turning right stay a little bit back, So you can move forward and make the turn.
  11. At roundabouts and all intersections you must see at least 100 m on each side before turning.
  12. Be comfortable using the flush medians, When turning right.
  13. At roadworks you must slow down to 30km.
  14. Overall keep left.
  15. Indicate left, check your center mirror and right blindspot before parallel parking. Use the space behind you.
  16. Use the hand brake when needed, hill starts.
  17. Check both and don't stop on the pedestrian crossing. 
  18. Look ahead and adjust speed to avoid bottlenecks.
  19. When waiting at lights, stay in 1st gear.
  20. You can move over the centerline to avoid parked cars.
  21. Stay under the speed limit.
  22. When exiting a roundabout you must indicate left.
  23. At giveways signs, be slow enough to giveway. Don't stop for no reason.
  24. When following trucks or buses double your following distance.

Critical Errors:
  1. U - Turn - Keep left, Indicate right and recheck your right blindspot. Don't get too close to the parked cars.

  1. Carpark - Keep left and use the space around you. Look around, turn your head to see.
  2. Left Turns - You must angle the car with the road, keep left. Don't twist your hands.

Parallel Parking Steps:

  1. Indicate left, check your mirror and stop next to the car. Line the back of your car with the back of the other car. 
  2. While indicating left, go into reverse and check both blindspots. Make one turn left.
  3. Roll back, the front of your vehicle will stick out. Check your right blindspot. Once you are at 1 o'clock stop.
  4. Make one turn right. Indicate left and recheck the right blindspot. Roll back ~1 meter.
  5. If you are close to the curb (under 30cm), turn all the way to the right.
  6. Indicate left, roll back till the car is straight.

Recheck the right side, take your time and move. You have 2 minutes and you can go back and forth 4 times. Use the space behind you. Indicate and check before stopping.
