Points to focus on:
  • Left turns - Don't rush to turn.
  • Parking on road side - keep indicating till you are fully stoped.
  • Steering / Hand Position - Turn the wheel back, don't just let go. Move your hands and make big turns when needed.
  • Intersections -  While waiting to turn check bothsides.
  • Searching and mirror usage - space it out, every lamp post (50mtrs), look 3 lamps post (100mts) ahead and outward off the road and know what is behind you before slowing down.
  • Left turn on high speed zones -  Angle the car with road and stop where you can see atleast 100meters.
  • Parallel parking - Recheck the right side.
  • Flush median - Be more comfortable using them, merge in and out of them when needed.
  • Right turns - Always find the middle of the road before turning and don't cut the corner.
  • Narrow roads - Indicate to pass parked cars

Points To Remember
​Part One
  • ​Unlaned wide roads - keep left on right turns and keep reasonably left overall.
  • Parking on the side road - you must be under 30cm from curb.
  • Moving back onto the road - you must indicate and check blindspot before moving.
  • Left turn - check left blindspot before moving left.
  • Parallel parking - stop before you get to close to the curb.
  • U Turn - keep left / on your side of the road.
  • Right turns - you must see at-least 100mtrs on each side before turning.
  • Speed control - to slow - 30km for over 10 seconds in a 50km zone.


Part Two
  • Blind corners / sharp turns - be slow before and keep left.
  • During lane change - too slow - speed dropped to 35~40km when checking to see if it was safe, in a 50km zone.
  • Green light - right turn - check both sides before moving.
  • Narrow roads - keep left,  indicate and check blindspot when passing parked cars.
  • Speed Control - too fast - in 50km zone, speed went to 58km.
  • Erratic steering / hand position during right turn.
  • Dual lanes - too close to white line.
  • Left turn - turning bays - check blindspot before moving in.
  • Don’t indicate across an intersections.
  • When braking check your Center mirror before.
  • Right Turn - Poor Gap selection - waited too long to turn, when safe to do so.
  • 3 point turn - use the space around you, too close to parked car.
  • Keep left - reasonable/ oncoming cars with parked truck on other side of the road.

More searching required
- move your head for shoulder check, move your chin when looking outward.
Left turns - don't get to close (rear left wheel)
Dual Lane Roundabouts -  Check all lanes and identify potential hazards before entering. Always indicated left when leaving.
Steering and hand position - Don't twist your hands and make big turns when needed, move your hands when required.
Entering Turning Bays - Must check blindspot before entering.
Lane Changing and Merging - Nothing sudden, make small turn, merge/slide into the other lane.

Points To Remember:
  • Check vehicle registration expiry date.
  • Move into a turning bay and then slow down.
  • Steering / Hand Position - make big turns when needed.
  • Narrow Roads - Avoid bottlenecks, look ahead and react to oncoming vehicles. Indicate to passed parked cars
  • Check center mirror before braking.
  • Fully stop at stop signs, check before moving.
  • Wet Roads - Double your following distance, and stay back when waiting in a queue.
  • Left Turn - Angle the car and keep left.
  • 3 Point Turn - Indicate right on 3rd turn and don't get too close to the parked cars.
  • Parking on the side of the road - Don't hit the curb.
  • Right Turn - Don't rush to turn, poor gap selection.
  • Hazard Recall - Focus on cars, people and animals.
  • Roundabout - Angle the car with the road and always indicate left to exit. Stay in your lane.
  • Carpark - Indicate and use the space around you.
  • Lane Changing and Merging - Indicate and check blindspot before.​

  • 3 Point Turn - Stay on the road and indicate right on your third turn.
  • Parallel Parking - Use the space behind you and recheck the right side.

  • When entering a turning bay, check your blind spot before moving in.
  • Right Turn Dual Lanes - Stay in your lane.
  • U-Turn - Check your right blindspot.
  • Motorway Onramp - Merge in and use the whole onramp.
  • If you miss a turn keep moving and the testing officer will make U Turn.
