I had a student fail his Restricted Test at Manukau Driver Test Center
2 Critical Errors:
1 - Vehicle Position: Leaving the car park, first left turn too wide (wrong side of the road)
2 - Signalling: When parallel parking, failed to indicate out, after parking.
Main faults during the simulated test and driving lessons:
1 - Signalling: out of roundabouts / 3 point turns / Parallel Parking.
2 - Searching: more searching required at intersection.
3 - Shoulder Check / Blind Spot Check ( always check whenever moving half the width of the vehicle )
-> too wide when passing parked cars and not taking into account oncoming vehicles .
-> positioning at roundabouts
-> positioning at left turns
