Key Points:
  1. More Searching and looking ahead 100meters.
  2. Don't rush, stay within the speed limit.
  3. Roundabouts always indicated left to exit.
  4. Left Turns - Check your blindspot and angle the car with the road, look outward and be ready before
  5. Lane Changing and Merging - Nothing sudden and indicate till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
  6. Waiting in a queue at traffic lights, stay away from the vehicle in front. Give yourself enough room to move around the other vehicle.
  7. Dual Lane - Always know what is next to you. Check your blindspot. 
  8. At intersections be ready to move. Check both sides while waiting to turn.
  9. Dual Lane Roundabouts - Stay in your lane. 
  10. Narrow Roads - Indicate and check your blindspot before moving around parked cars.
  11. When turning you must indicate before stopping.
  12. Cones diverging traffic - slow down.
  13. Turning Bays - Move into them before slowing down. Always check your blindspot and keep indicating, while waiting to turn.
  14. Use the sun visor when needed.
  15. Move around cyclist, don't stay next to them.
  16. Right and Left Dual Lane Turns - Stay in your lane.
  17. Dual Lane Left Turns - You don't have to for both lanes to be clear. You can move if the left lane is clear.
  18. Right Turns - Don't rush to turn, don't cut corners.
  19. Blind / Sharp Corners - Know what is behind you, be slower and keep left.

Foot Position / Speed Control / Braking:
  • Keep your heel on the ground and push with your toes.
  • Aim to stop a car length before where you actually want to stop and roll up to it.
  • Watch your speed when going down hill.
  • Stay with 5km of the speed limit on clear roads.
  • Notice the 30km speed zones.

Steering / Hand Position:
  • Move your hands and make big turns when needed.
  • Keep the vehicle straight, make small adjustments to drive straight.
  • Keep both hands on the wheel and don't drop them when slowing down.
