- Flush Median - Poor position when turning right, Poor gap selection and blocking traffic.
- Stop Sign - Stop, pause, check both sides and then move.
- Traffic Lights - Don't stop on pedestrian crossing or cycle lanes.
Critical Errors:
- Curb-side - When pulling over to stop, you must be under 30cm from the curb. Indicate and check your left blindspot.
- Gap Selection - Must move if safe.
- Left Turns - Check the cycle lane before turning.
- Vehicle Position - When waiting in a queue, stay back. Don't queue across the intersection.
- Merging - Nothing sudden, just merge in, use the space in front. Indicate and check your blindspot.
Needs Improvement:
- Dual lane roundabout - Must give way to cars on the right, check both sides and both lanes before moving in. Take advantage of cover vehicles.
- Curved Roads / Blind Corners - Keep left and roll around. Cover your brake but don't brake hard.
- Scanning / Searching Ahead - Activity search for potential hazards and avoid bottlenecks.
- Mirror Usage - Check center mirror before braking or slowing down ( Speed bumps ).
- Shoulder Checks & Head Checks - You must turn your head, to look next to you.
- Speeding and Braking - Don't rush or brake hard, let the car roll up and brake softly.
- Left Turns and Roundabouts - Angle the car with the road.
- Backing - Look back, turn your head. Don't just use mirrors or reversing cameras.
- Right Turns - Don't go too wide or cut the corner when turning.
- Lane Changing - Check your blindspot before moving in and keep indicating till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
- Indicating - You must indicate for a minimum of 3 seconds before turning, changing lanes or merging.
- Narrow Roads - Indicate and check your blindspot before turning.
