Key Areas to Focus On:

🔵 Steering & Hand Position

• Keep both hands on the steering wheel at all times.
• Move your hands more when making large or sharp turns.
• Maintain smooth steering control throughout the drive.

🔵 Blind Spot / Head Checks

• Turn your head clearly when checking your blind spot.
• Don't rely on your eyes only—make your head checks obvious.
• Always indicate before performing a blind spot check.

🔵 Pedestrian Crossings

• Check both sides before driving through a pedestrian crossing.
• Never stop on a pedestrian crossing.
• Be prepared for pedestrians who may step onto the crossing.

🔵 Road Position

• Keep left whenever it is safe to do so.
• Maintain good lane positioning on both narrow and wide roads.

🔵 Narrow Roads

• Indicate before passing parked vehicles if you need to cross the centre line.
• Check your mirrors and blind spot before moving out.
• Avoid creating bottlenecks and be aware of oncoming traffic.

🔵 Roundabouts

• Give way to vehicles approaching from your right.
• Stay in your lane throughout the roundabout.
• Always indicate left when exiting.

🔵 Curbside Parking

• Indicate left and check your left blind spot before slowing down and stopping.
• Brake smoothly—avoid braking hard.
• Before moving out, indicate right, check your centre mirror, and perform a right blind spot check.

🔵 U-Turns & Three-Point Turns

• Indicate right before every movement.
• Recheck your right blind spot before moving.
• Maintain good observation throughout the manoeuvre.

🔵 Lane Changing & Turning Bays

• Indicate before changing lanes or entering a turning bay.
• Check your centre mirror and perform a blind spot check.
• Merge smoothly without sudden steering.
• Keep indicating until all four wheels have entered the new lane.

🔵 Flush Medians & Dual-Lane Right Turns

• Become confident using flush medians.
• Indicate and check your blind spot before moving into the flush median.
• Stay in your lane during dual-lane right turns.
• Be aware of vehicles beside you and complete the turn smoothly.

🔵 Car Parks

• Drive slowly.
• Keep left.
• Watch carefully for pedestrians and reversing vehicles.

🔵 Turning

• Check both directions before turning.
• Look well ahead and be ready before reaching the intersection.
• Make smooth, confident decisions without unnecessary hesitation.
