Lane Changing

• Avoid having vehicles sitting in your blind spot.
• Check your centre mirror and blind spot before moving.
• Indicate when required and make smooth movements—nothing sudden.

Right Turns

• Do not cut corners.
• Find the centre of the road where appropriate.
• Stay on your side of the road throughout the turn.
• Check both directions carefully before turning.
• Make sure the gap is safe before committing to the turn.

U-Turns & Three-Point Turns

• Indicate right before moving.
• Check your right blind spot.
• Maintain good observation throughout the manoeuvre.

Parallel Parking

• Check your surroundings before stopping.
• Indicate left and check your centre mirror before slowing.
• Park within 30 cm of the kerb.
• Recheck your right side before moving out.

Traffic Lights & Roundabouts

• Increase your searching and observation.
• Look well ahead and check what is happening around you.
• At traffic lights, check both sides and be prepared for changing traffic conditions.
• At roundabouts, check early, look for vehicles approaching from your right, and stay aware of vehicles beside you.
