Immediate Fail:
- Speed Control - Don't rush and stay under the speed limit. Stay within 5km of the speed limit.
Critical Errors:
- Merging / Lane Changing / Turning Bays - Must indicate when needed and always check blindspots. Don't move suddenly. Indicate till all 4 wheels are in the other lane.
- Left Turns - Check the bus / cycle lane before turning, the left blindspot and angle the car with the road. Stay in your lane.
- Right Turns - Find the center before turning, don't rush and don't cut the corners to turn.
- Blindspot Checks / Shoulder Checks - You must check your left blindspot when moving to the left and right blindspot when moving to the right. Turn your head 90 degrees to the left or right. Don't twist your body, keep your chin up and look next to you.
- Dual Lane Right Turn - You must stay in your lane. Don't have vehicles in your blindspot.
- Give Way Signs / Gap Selection - Be Slow enough to give way. Don't stop for no reason. Be ready to move while waiting. Follow the give way rule not what other drivers tell you to do.
- Roundabouts - Must give way to cars on your right. Angle the car to the left and look for cover vehicles on your left. Alway indicate left before exiting.
General Feedback:
- Vehicle Position - Keep left reasonable, more left then right.
- Center Mirror Usage - Check the center mirror every 10-15 seconds on a straight road. Check the mirror before braking.
- Parallel Parking - Indicate left and check center mirror before stopping. Use the space behind you and recheck the right blindspot. Use correct gear before moving.
- Parking Curb-side - You must indicate and check your blindspot before braking. Vehicles must be under 30cm from the curb and not block driveways or intersections.
- Intersections / Traffic Lights - Don't queue across them. Check both sides always.
- Narrow Roads - Look ahead, avoid bottlenecks, keep reasonable to the left and indicate to pass parked cars.
- Sharp Corners / Curved Roads / Blind Corners - Keep left and roll around. Cover your brake but don't brake hard. Find the center and keep on your side.
