Dual-Lane Roundabouts
  • Position your car to follow the curve of the road and centre island.
  • Use cover vehicles to help judge safe gaps.
  • Stay in your lane and always indicate left when exiting.
Dual-Lane Roads & Turns
  • Stay within your lane at all times and avoid driving beside vehicles in blind spots.
Turning Bays
  • Move fully into the turning bay first, then slow down.
  • Always indicate and check your blind spot before entering.
Lane Changing
  • Maintain your speed, check mirrors, indicate, and perform a clear blind spot check before moving.
  • Avoid sitting beside vehicles in blind spots.
Searching / Observation
  • Always know what is happening behind and beside you.
  • Look well ahead and off the road—aim to see at least 100 metres forward.
  • Increase your searching by checking your centre mirror before braking or slowing down and checking blind spots before moving left or right.
Hazard Identification

  • Right Turns: Poor gap selection—waiting too long when it was safe to go.

🔧 Areas to Improve:
  • Flush Medians:
    Be confident moving in and out. Always indicate and check your blind spot, then merge out smoothly.
  • Parallel Parking:
    Use the space behind you. Indicate, check your centre mirror and blind spot before stopping, and control the car slowly.
  • Motorway On-Ramp:
    Use the full length of the on-ramp to build speed. Indicate and check your blind spot before merging.
  • Motorway Off-Ramp:
    Merge off smoothly--don’t brake unnecessarily. Indicate and check your blind spot before exiting.

Critical Errors
  • Curbside Parking
    Indicate left and check your left blind spot before slowing down and stopping.
    Park within 30 cm of the curb.
    When moving out, indicate right, check your right blind spot, and merge safely into traffic.
  • Parallel Parking
    Indicate left and check your centre mirror before stopping.
    While indicating, check both sides before reversing.
    Reverse smoothly into the space.
    When moving out, indicate and recheck your right blind spot.
  • Right Turns
    Move toward the centre of the road, stay on your side, and do not cut corners.
  • Dual-Lane Right Turns
    Stay in your lane and avoid having vehicles beside you while turning.
  • Merging
    Indicate when required, always check your centre mirror and blind spot, and avoid moving across if a vehicle is beside you.
  • Left Turns
    Always check the cycle lane and left blind spot before turning.
  • Stop Signs
    You must stop fully, pause, check both directions, and move only when it is safe.
General Notes
  • Searching / Observation

  • U-Turns / 3-Point Turns: Must indicate right and check your right blind spot before moving.

🔧 Areas to Improve:
  • Searching / Observation:
    Increase your searching. Always check your centre mirror before braking or slowing down, and check blind spots before moving left or right.
  • Speed Control:
    Don’t rush. Use smooth acceleration--press the accelerator with your toes, not your whole foot.
  • Steering:
    Move your hands properly and make bigger turns when needed for better control.
  • Flush Medians:
    Use them when required. Enter and exit smoothly with proper indication and blind spot checks.
  • Left Turns:
    Always check the cycle lane and left blind spot before turning.
  • Bus Lanes:
    Check your blind spot before turning across a bus lane.
  • Hazard Identification:

🔵 Dual-Lane Roundabouts

Important Reminder

Critical Errors
