Mt Wellington Restricted - Lesson Loop 3

I took one of my students around the Mt Wellington test area today. The map shows the areas we covered. I will have the actual test routes mapped my the end of this week.

Mt Wellington Restricted - Lesson Loop

Errors / faults as we ran through the possible route:

1. Leaving the carpark - rear wheel hit curb.
2. Merging - indicate and check blind spot.
3. Left turn at traffic lights too wide - over white lines.
4. Panama Road is narrow, vehicle position when passing parked cars - too close.
5. U-turn - Shoulder Check.
6. Cut Corners - Right Turns - the roads are unlaned. Keep on your side.
7. Sharp corners - parked vehicles on bot sides.
8. 3 Point Turn - Look Back
9. Steep hill - Left at STOP Sign - Vehicle Position
10. Traffic lights - no left turn arrow, must give way to pedestrians and check for vehicles turning right.

Key Points:

• Lanes are narrow / tight left turns.
• Right Turns - keep left 
• Otahuhu - multiple Speed bumps
• Otahuhu - multiple Stop signs
• Exit motorway and change lanes
